Thanks to the contribution and technical experience of the designer Giampiero Derai, of LuceLab and its team of young designers, and of valuable partnerships with Anna Maria Lucarelli, Carlo Tinti and Engineer Alberto Sozza, L-TECH increases and extends its in-company lighting technology know-how, employing state-of-the-art technology and a constant selection of innovative materials to offer high quality products.
Lucelab

The LUCELAB design laboratory was created to fully boost the creativity of the Lucerni and L-TECH brands. Alongside the contribution of well-known designers, LuceLab has a team of young designers, who are determined, today, to imagine the future of lighting and eager to bring new energy to the “Made in Italy” scene. Experimenting with cutting-edge technologies and selecting innovative high-quality materials comprise the operational hub, which leads to development in research and innovation, also thanks to the technical experience and know-how of a highly dynamic company with more than 30 years experience in the lighting sector.
Anna Maria Lucarelli

ANNA MARIA LUCARELLI, born in Taranto in 1973, graduated in Architecture at the Polytechnic Institute of Bari in 1998. She then continued her studies attending various training courses. In 2002, she earned the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Design from the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University in Rome, where she has been a professor at the degree course in Industrial Design since 2002. In addition to her job, she does research and is a designer in the field of architectural design and restoration. In 2010, she began a partnership with the GruppoLampe technical and creative laboratory.
Giampiero Derai
GIAMPIERO DERAI, born in Venice in 1941, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts while attending a two-year course in Industrial Design. He teaches Composition and Applied Arts, the Technology of Metals and the Technology of Glass and their applications. He has been working in the lighting sector for over thirty years as a Designer and Art Director, since 1971 in fact. In 2004, he founded the Studio G & S Derai. In 2007, he began a partnership with LuceLab, the technical and creative laboratory of GruppoLampe, with the intention of developing technical lighting fixtures.
Alberto Sozza

ALBERTO SOZZA, born in 1975 in Vicenza, graduated in Electronic Engineering at the University of Studies of Padova. In 2006, he earned the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Microelectronics in France, specialising in the reliability of electronic and optoelectronic devices. Throughout these years, he became interested in new solid-state lighting technologies (LED and OLED), and began working with leading companies in the Italian technical lighting sector. He collaborates with GruppoLampe technical department, developing new products that incorporate these new technologies with the construction techniques of technical lighting fixtures.
Carlo Tinti

CARLO TINTI, designer, was born in 1966. He graduated in Interior Design at ISAI (Higher Institute of Interior Design) in Schio, Vicenza, in 1988. In the 1990s, he began working in the world of interior design and developed a special passion for studying custom-made furniture. In the lighting technology sector in particular, he successfully integrated the theatrical aspect of lighting with various technologically balanced materials and solutions. He calls himself a “tame technical expert”.
